Do I need any previous qualification?

Previous qualifications are not an essential requirement. You just need to have a keen interest in makeup, determination and passion.

Can International students apply?

When coming from overseas we will need to see certain documents. These may include proof of identity, previous qualifications and any relevant documents giving you the right to study in the UK.

If you are a national from a country within the European Union, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland then you do not need a visa to enter the UK and are able to enrol on a course of any duration, just like UK students.

If you are a national from outside the European Union or European Economic Area, you may require a student visa to enter the UK and study with us.

Who will be teaching me?

Our tutors are fully trained in makeup artistry and hair styling. They are all currently active within the fashion and beauty industry and have worked for the likes of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Insight, London Fashion Week and The X Factor. You can take a look at the Our Team page for more information of our tutors and staff at the Academy.

How many students will be in each class?

Classes are kept to a limit of 1-8 students. At MLA we pride ourselves on being able to give hands on tuition. We run classes at this size to give you the best possible potential to learn and receive one-to-one guidance within an intimate group setting. We can offer 1 on 1 taster classes and courses with an extra fee. Please email info@makeuplondonacademy.com for more information.

Who do we practise on?

Students work on a combination of face models, blocks, face charts and even on each other.

Can I get insurance with the MLA Certificate?

Yes, all of our courses allow you to qualify for our industry leading insurance.
